Welcome to this year's final Destination Africa — a special collection of stories, adventures and slow travel inspiration from the Journeys by Design team.

From exploring the Central African Republic's Congo basin to the Mandrill forests of Gabon, as well as traversing the Okavango Delta and traditional Zambia, we hope these stories inspire you to explore the lesser-known in the year ahead.

A visit to the Dzanga Bai

Will Jones recently travelled from the Republic of Congo to Sangha Lodge in Dzanga Sangha Special Reserve in Central African Republic. Highlights include spending time with Rod and Tamar Cassidy, visiting the ‘mother of all bais’, and accompanying the Ba’aka net hunters on an excursion into the forest.
